DAAD SECAI Scholarships for Master's Students in Artificial Intelligence

The DAAD Zuse School of Embedded Composite Artificial Intelligence (SECAI) scholarship supports outstanding master's students pursuing AI or related studies at TU Dresden or Leipzig University.

Applicants must be current or prospective master's students with excellent bachelor's results and a study focus connected to artificial intelligence or related fields.

Eligible programmes include AI-related study at TU Dresden or Leipzig University, including computer science, data science, computational modelling and simulation, bioinformatics, medical informatics, law focused on AI, and relevant social or human dimensions of AI.

Applicants must demonstrate an above-average academic record. Women in STEM, students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and refugees are especially encouraged to apply.

The scholarship supports living expenses in Germany so students can focus on AI-related master's study, research preparation, and professional networking.

Applications require a motivation letter, CV, bachelor's certificate or transcript where available, other relevant certificates, income declaration, and programme application information if applying to a master's programme in parallel.

Up to 20 scholarships are available. The scholarship can last up to 24 months and currently provides a monthly allowance of EUR 934, with possible family allowance for eligible foreign students.
